Job Description
Our company engineers precision components that power the medical, aerospace, and electronics industries. Shift: Second (2nd) shift: 3:30pm - 12:00am (midnight), Monday - Friday
Responsibilities
- Wire or fixture parts onto designated racks per general instructions using copper wire or pre-existing rack fixtures.
- Read and apply special instructions when required, ensuring correct part orientation and fixturing.
- Perform frequent counting of product to maintain accuracy and meet daily rack quotas.
- Inspect incoming parts and report any defects or questionable conditions immediately to the Department Lead.
- Keep work area and equipment clean, organized, and compliant with all safety regulations, such as proper disposal of wire scraps and maintaining clear walkways.
- Execute prescribed preventive maintenance on racking equipment, such as checking wire cutters, lubricating pins, and inspecting rack fixtures as scheduled.
- Complete tasks as directed by the manufacturing schedule with minimal supervision, consistently meeting production targets.
- Collaborate with peers and leadership to support overall production demands and address issues promptly.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 year assembly experience preferred
- Ability to read work orders and written instructions; legible penmanship for labeling and counts.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, counting by twos or tens).
- Mechanical inclination: able to troubleshoot simple fixture or wire-break issues.
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
