This collaborative group focuses on helping community members understand and access medical, prescription, and supplemental coverage that fits their needs and budgets. Team members have the opportunity to represent multiple respected carriers, offer a broad range of products, and build meaningful relationships in the local community.
Role Description The Insurance Agent will help individuals and families understand, compare, and enroll in health insurance plans from major carriers, including UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Anthem, Humana, Cigna, and WellCare. Day-to-day responsibilities include consulting with prospects and existing clients, conducting needs assessments, explaining plan benefits and costs, and recommending suitable coverage options. The role involves managing leads, following up with clients, handling enrollment applications, assisting with changes to policies, and maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulatory requirements. The Insurance Agent will also stay current on plan updates and industry regulations, participate in ongoing training, and collaborate with the team to support outreach and education efforts. This is a remote role and may be structured as full-time or part-time depending on business needs and candidate availability.
Qualifications
  • Proven ability to communicate complex insurance information clearly, listen actively, and build trust with diverse clients.
  • Strong customer service skills, including follow-up, problem-solving, and respectful, empathetic support.
  • Basic proficiency with computers and online tools for managing client information, completing applications, and conducting virtual meetings.
  • High level of self-motivation, organization, and time management to work effectively in a remote environment.
  • Current health insurance license (or eligibility and willingness to obtain one) in the relevant state(s).
  • Knowledge of health insurance products such as individual plans, Medicare, Medicaid, and supplemental benefits is preferred.
  • Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or consultative sales is an advantage but not required.
  • Commitment to ethical conduct, regulatory compliance, and providing non-discriminatory, inclusive service to all clients.
