Responsibilities
  • Performs clerical and data entry support to meet contractual requirements for operational and basic accounting.  
  • Processes all accounts payable and accounts received in a timely and accurate manner. 
  • Provides project teams with ad hoc reports and analysis as the need arises. 
  • Assists with the assembly of information for internal and external financial reporting requirements. 
  • Assembles client billings packages in accordance with contract terms and conditions and ensures timely payment. 
  • Prepares bank deposits and cash receipt entries. 
Qualifications
  • High school diploma.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field is considered an asset. 
  • Some student experience or 6 months to 1 year of accounting or administrative experience is preferred.
  • Exposure to project forecasting and budgeting. 
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, including maintenance of ledgers and cash flows. 
  • Exposure to project costing principles, recoveries, insurance, and contract/subcontract requirements as related to accounting
  • Exposure to subcontract purchase order terms, including insurance and subcontractor default insurance requirements. 
  • Basic understanding of lien rights. 
  • Ability to act with the required discretion when handling confidential information. 
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with accounting software is an asset.

The estimated salary range for this role is $51,300.00 - $70,500, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
