About the Opportunity

A lower middle-market private equity or private markets firm (representative of firms within our network) may seek an analytically driven Entry Private Markets Analyst to support investment professionals across the deal and portfolio lifecycle.

This role is designed for candidates at the very beginning of their buy-side careers, offering hands-on exposure to investment analysis, financial modeling, diligence support, and portfolio monitoring. Teams are typically lean, allowing analysts to gain meaningful insight into how investment decisions are made and executed.


Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesInvestment Analysis & Financial Modeling
  • Support the creation and maintenance of basic to intermediate financial models, including operating models, DCFs, and introductory LBO analyses

  • Assist in analyzing returns, capital structures, and scenario sensitivities

  • Perform valuation work using comparable companies, precedent transactions, and simplified intrinsic methods

  • Help prepare analytical support for new investments and add-on opportunities

Due Diligence & Market Research
  • Assist with diligence across financial, commercial, and operational workstreams

  • Analyze company performance metrics, KPIs, customer trends, and unit economics

  • Conduct industry, market, and competitive research to support investment theses

  • Compile and summarize findings from third-party diligence providers

Investment Committee & Deal Process Support
