General Summary:

This is an entry-level accounting position responsible for basic financial record-keeping tasks, including data entry, account reconciliation, generating reports, and assisting with basic financial analysis, typically under the supervision of a more senior accountant, often requiring strong attention to detail and proficiency in accounting software and accounting principles.


JOB DUTIES:

  • Entering vendor bills into our accounting software with accurate due dates.
  • Maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable records.
  • Maintaining new vendor creation and updating existing vendor records.
  • Preparing journal entries.
  • Generating basic financial reports like trial balances and schedules.
  • Assisting with budget preparation.
  • Data entry into accounting software.
  • Filing and maintaining accounting documents.
  • Collection of past due accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • 0-2 years of experience in accounting or finance positions.
  • Proficient in MS Office and accounting software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • General understanding of accounting regulations and procedure, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
