Job Title: PM Multi-craft Technician
Reports To: Maintenance Mgr., following the direction of Team Leader/Supervisor
Shift/Hours: Monday-Friday /6:45 AM-3 PM
Starting Rate: $27.95 per hour/with the ability to earn more based on experience
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician for our PM team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation and longevity of our manufacturing equipment. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and executing repairs effectively. You will play a crucial role in maintaining high productivity levels while adhering to safety standards and company procedures. Given the fast-paced and demanding nature of aluminum manufacturing, your expertise in mechanical and electrical systems will be invaluable. Working closely with our production team, you will help minimize downtime and optimize machine performance.

What You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Perform schedule preventive maintenance task on various types of machinery and equipment according to established maintenance plan.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems, such as leaks, wear and tear, or irregularities in equipment operation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacement of parts.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques. Repair or replace defective components, such as motors, belts, gears, or electrical wiring, as needed.
  • Support creation and annual review of Job Safety Analyses for maintenance related tasks.
  • Actively participate and support the plant's Safe Work Permit process.
  • Support the creation and annual review of specific job procedures for maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain a general working knowledge of how to troubleshoot problems through PLC's.
  • Assist other plant mechanics when required, based upon plant priorities as directed by the maintenance team leads or a member of the plant management team.
  • Support continuous improvement engineer(s) and production departments by suggesting ways to improve the reliability and/or productivity of the equipment.
  • Willing and able to adhere to all safety standards and wear all necessary personal protective equipment.
  • Keep abreast of technological advancements and industry best practices in preventive maintenance techniques.

What You Will Need:
  • High school diploma or GED. Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
    • OR
  • Five years related work experience.
  • Experience with industrial, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems.
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Good communication skills to interact with team members and report maintenance activities accurately.
  • Ability to work equally well individually or in a team situation.
  • Be able to follow and give high regard to safety rules and housekeeping procedures.
  • Must pass company background and drug screen.
