Develops, oversees and improves processes for plant maintenance, cleaning, basic repairs and pest control for buildings and property.

Level II

Entry-level position. Provides quality oversight, support and expertise for facility maintenance and cleaning.

Level III

Intermediate-level position. Develops, oversees, and improves processes through observation, investigation, and evaluation of plant maintenance and repairs.

Level IV

Advanced-level position with advanced troubleshooting skills. Able to inspect, repair, and maintain the electrical, plumbing, roofing, compressed air systems, lighting, and HVAC related systems.

Responsibilities

  • Keeps property clean and in orderly condition.
  • Inspects and evaluates repairs to property or equipment to determine the type of work required.
  • Identifies and communicates with management or consultants the need for repairs.
  • Requisitions supplies and equipment for repairs, replacement, cleaning, and maintenance duties.
  • Understands waste and water disposal procedures. Follows safety principles for the use of chemicals.

Knowledge and Abilities

Interprets instructions, both written and oral. Works in a team with co-workers to resolve work issues-knowledge of basic shop math. Forklift certification preferred but not required. Able to communicate effectively in English.

Work Environment:
Will be exposed to noise, moving mechanical parts, oils/solvents, fumes, and odors that may affect the eyes, ears, nose, throat and/or skin.
