Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking an Entry-Level CAD Programmer to join our engineering and design team. The successful candidate will support the creation, modification, and programming of CAD drawings and models used for manufacturing and production.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional who has strong attention to detail, enjoys working with technical drawings, and wants to develop their skills in CAD programming and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and modify 2D and drawings and models based on engineering specifications.
  • Develop and maintain CNC/CAD programs and related documentation.
  • Translate engineering drawings and design requirements into accurate manufacturing programs.
  • Review drawings and programs for accuracy, completeness, and manufacturability.
  • Make revisions to CAD files and programs as required.
  • Work with engineers, designers, machinists, and production personnel to resolve design or programming issues.
  • Maintain organized CAD files, revisions, and technical documentation.
  • Follow company standards, engineering specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Assist with troubleshooting programming and production issues.
  • Learn and apply company-specific CAD/CAM software, programming standards, and manufacturing processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives involving design, programming, and production efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Diploma, certificate, or degree in CAD Design, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, CNC Programming, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, Mastercam, or similar platforms.
  • Basic understanding of engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
