Salary: $40,000 to $52,000

Summary: IHL is looking for an Assistant Designer to join our Activewear team! The Assistant Designer for this team will be responsible for working closely with the Design Director to design and merchandise branded collections. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to grow with the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce clear and detailed technical sketches.
  • Create tech packs.
  • Communicating technical and creative ideas to the design director and technical
    designer.
  • Communicating with overseas factories & holding manufacturers accountable for T&A.
  • Tracking Sample progress.
  • Reviewing and commenting on Print Strike offs and Lab Dips.
  • Sourcing Fabrics and Trims.
  • Creating Mood Boards and Seasonal Catalogs.
  • Attend Fittings, understanding the fundamentals of fitting.
  • Creating Seasonal Binders in order to organize collection information.
  • Shop stores for new ideas/comparison shopping.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Fashion Design
  • Entry-level 1-3 years experience
  • Highly Creative and positive addition to company culture
  • Good time management skill with the ability to prioritize
  • Expert Level Adobe Creative Suite

Job Logistics

Location: New York, NY Midtown West

Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $40,000 to $52,000
