CIS is recruiting for two accounting positions within the Finance Department:
  • One Accountant I, $70,561 - $82,805 annually
  • One Accountant II, $79,282 - $93,040 annually

Position Highlights/Job Description
Accountant I
The Accountant I is an entry-level accounting position responsible for detailed accounting work, financial recordkeeping, account reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable activities, payroll support, audit preparation, and general ledger maintenance. The Accountant I works under closer supervision while developing professional accounting skills.
Minimum Qualifications for Accountant I
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• One (1) to three (3) years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), spreadsheet applications, and accounting systems.
Accountant II
The Accountant II performs moderately complex accounting duties with greater independence and responsibility. This position manages accounts receivable functions, invoicing, collections, reconciliations, reporting, customer service, and financial analysis.
Minimum Qualifications for Accountant II
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Three (3) or more years of accounting experience.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation, and customer service skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and accounting systems.
Note: Education, experience, and demonstrated abilities will be evaluated to determine the appropriate classification level (Accountant I or Accountant II) for which an applicant qualifies.
