We are looking for an entry-level Accountant to join a growing team in Parsippany, New Jersey. This contract position with permanent potential is ideal for someone who wants to build a strong foundation in day-to-day accounting while gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative, on-site environment. The role focuses on core financial operations, accurate recordkeeping, and supporting reporting activities that help the business run efficiently.


Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documentation, and assist with timely payment handling across accounts payable activities.

• Monitor incoming customer payments, apply cash receipts, and help maintain accurate accounts receivable records.

• Prepare and issue invoices with close attention to billing accuracy, completeness, and follow-up needs.

• Perform account analysis to identify discrepancies, track balances, and support clean financial records.

• Assist in preparing recurring and ad hoc financial reports for internal review and decision-making.

• Complete bank and account reconciliations to ensure transactions are properly recorded and resolved.

• Enter accounting data into financial systems, maintain organized documentation, and support general ledger accuracy.

• Use Microsoft Excel and Sage 100 to manage daily accounting tasks, reporting, and record maintenance.

• Previous exposure to accounting, finance, or bookkeeping work through employment, internship, or academic training.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and basic accounting entries.
