Job Description

Summary
The Pricing Analyst supports the development and execution of cost and pricing strategies for federal government proposals and contracts. This role is responsible for preparing compliant, accurate, and competitive pricing submissions in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and company policies. The Pricing Analyst collaborates with capture, contracts, finance, and program teams to provide pricing analysis, modeling, and documentation that align with business objectives and customer requirements.

Position Responsibilities

Proposal Pricing Support

  • Develop detailed pricing models for proposals, task orders, and contract modifications. Collaborate with the Estimating Lead on BOEs and review of cost estimates.
  • Prepare compliant cost volumes and support proposal documentation.
  • Conduct labor rate, material, subcontractor, and ODC pricing in accordance with solicitation requirements.

Compliance & Analysis

  • Ensure pricing submissions comply with FAR/DFARS, CAS, DCAA/DCMA guidelines, and internal policies.
  • Perform sensitivity analyses, what-if scenarios, and risk assessments to support bid strategy.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation to support reviews and fact-finding.

Financial Modeling

  • Build and maintain cost models incorporating direct labor, indirect rates, escalation, and subcontractor/vendor inputs.
  • Support price-to-win analysis and competitive assessments in coordination with capture teams.
  • Provide management with clear pricing recommendations and data-driven insights.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with capture, contracts, program management, and finance teams to align pricing with technical and program requirements.
  • Support internal pricing reviews and approvals by preparing pricing packages and presentations.
  • Mentor junior pricing analysts and share best practices in estimating methodologies.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of pricing/estimating experience in federal contracting.
  • Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, CAS, and government proposal processes.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Excel and Word); experience with pricing tools such as ProPricer (preferred).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The salary range for this role is:

$74,000 - $113,000
