Job description

We are seeking a SmartCOMM Developer with experience in Smart Communications (SmartCOMM/Advanced Template Designer) to design, develop, and maintain document templates for enterprise customer communications. The ideal candidate will create and enhance communication templates supporting print, fax, archive, and other output channels while ensuring compliance with branding, regulatory, and business requirements.

This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, content teams, and developers to implement communication updates, optimize document performance, and support mission-critical customer correspondence.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain SmartCOMM templates and customer communication documents.
  • Create and manage shared content, layouts, stylesets, overlays, images, and scripts.
  • Develop communications for multiple output channels including Print, Fax, and Archive.
  • Implement business and regulatory requirements into SmartCOMM templates.
  • Develop and revise claim-related customer communications such as insurance, coverage, and benefits documents.
  • Review test plans, validate document output, and incorporate feedback.
  • Ensure templates comply with branding, style guides, and content best practices.
  • Optimize document performance and maintain reusable template components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business users, QA, and external vendors to deliver communication solutions.
  • Support ongoing enhancements and maintenance of the legacy SmartCOMM platform.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in SmartCOMM (Smart Communications/Advanced Template Designer).
  • Hands-on expertise in document composition and template development.
  • Experience creating layouts, stylesets, reusable content, overlays, images, and scripting within SmartCOMM.
  • Knowledge of HTML and document publishing tools.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
  • Strong scripting and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications
