Armed Level III Security Officer at Municipal Courts

TriCorps Security is hiring professional and motivated Armed Level III Security Officers to join our team in Texas. This role is based in a courthouse environment and focuses on maintaining the safety and security of judges, court staff, jurors, and the public through vigilance, professionalism, and service.

Applicants must hold a valid Texas PSB Level III License (Armed Security Officer) and demonstrate reliability, excellent communication skills, and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce courthouse entry and identification procedures, including operating security screening equipment to detect weapons, contraband, and prohibited items.
  • Patrol court facilities and surrounding grounds in accordance with post orders to deter and detect unauthorized or suspicious activity.
  • Maintain stationary posts at designated locations such as courtrooms, judge chambers, and jury rooms, monitoring CCTV, duress alarms, and other security systems.
  • Provide armed escort services for judges, court personnel, jurors, and other designated individuals as directed.
  • Oversee pedestrian and parking control in courthouse areas to ensure orderly traffic and safety.
  • Enforce law and order within courthouse grounds, including detaining or removing individuals who pose a threat to safety or order.
  • Support courtroom operations by maintaining order, assisting judges, handling documents, and escorting witnesses as needed.
  • Prepare accurate reports documenting incidents, inspections, and unusual occurrences, including emergencies or security breaches.
  • Conduct security checks of courtrooms and facilities before and after proceedings to ensure safety and compliance.
