The Exogen Order Specialist serves as the key point of contact and provides administrative support of the Field Sales Team and Reimbursement Services for assigned territories. The Specialist focus is the coordination and monitoring daily order activity related to the input of all data relative to orders; interfacing with sales force, Reimbursement Services, Patient Financial Services and customers (internal & external) to handle inquiries and perform routine follow-up calls and/or written communications.What you'll be doing
  • Process product orders using designated order entry system/method with a focus on accuracy of information and compliance. Provides solutions and resolves issues on orders, which uploaded in the system via Exogen Direct or manual submission, in which the order entry process was not completed.

  • Process referral orders (VA, workers compensation, and commercial) submitted via fax by various vendors.

  • Build and maintain professional, proactive and responsive communication (verbal and/or written) with sales force, Reimbursement Services, Patient Financial Services and customers in order to address inquiries efficiently.

  • Report weekly to sales force and leadership to confirm receipt activity and order status.

  • Perform clerical and administrative functions as needed, including but not limited to distribution of departmental correspondence via email.

  • Research core and operational causes of process complaints, offers remedies to achieve customer satisfaction and elevates when appropriate.

  • Update leadership team regarding problems and trends with sales orders and sales force.

  • Holds oneself and others accountable to conduct business in a manner compliant with Bioventus' Code of Compliance and Ethics, policies and procedures and internal controls applicable to their role.

  • Other duties as assigned

What you'll bring to the table
  • High school diploma or equivalent, Associates degree preferred

  • Two years' experience: 1-year medical authorization experience in a medical claims environment involving negotiation, problem resolution, and order entry by using an on-line computer terminal AND 1 year experience in general office environment including typing, pc experience and filing.

  • Must possess good written and oral communication skills with the ability to interface with customers and company personnel at all levels. Ability to understanding of general medical terms.

  • Requires ability to work independently in carrying out assignments to completion.

  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills

  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel)

  • Knowledge and experience with integrated software applications is strongly desired
