Job description

The Copier Delivery Driver/Assembly Technician is responsible for performing copier deliveries and installations within assigned territories to clients. The Copier Assembly Technician is responsible for the assembly and preparation of various multi-function and printer products for the Set-up and Refurbish Technicians. Other responsibilities include assistance with hard drive security, organization of staging areas, and delivery of product to various branch offices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Review daily delivery schedule, confirm scheduling calls have been made in advance to client, distribution centers and/or office.
  • Perform copier moves and pickups as scheduled by coordination.
  • Lead and/or assist with stair climber jobs.
  • Deliver equipment to specified locations ensuring all established quality assurance standards are met.
  • Pick up appropriate copier equipment and supplies to return ensuring all paperwork is present and completely filled out and turned in to the proper personnel.
  • Accurately maintain and comply with documentation and service administrative procedures in a timely basis to include pick tickets, collecting client signatures and time entry
  • Conduct weekly maintenance on company vehicle and work area.
  • Perform assembly of equipment per direction from the set-up schedule taking care to save cardboard until equipment is deemed to be operating normally.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during assembly to ensure equipment is fully assembled prior to entering set-up department.
  • Clean all surfaces of equipment to acceptable quality assurance standards.
  • Perform extraction and disposal of hard drives from returned equipment that has a request for hard drive disposal.
  • Perform regular deliveries of equipment to various Marco branch offices.
  • Work with DS Install Coordinators to organize equipment for next day's deliveries.
  • Maintain and promptly clean and organize all workspaces.
  • Move products in and around the distribution centers and to and from off-site storage.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma and two years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Associate's degree is preferred.
  • Basic mechanical or electronics experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License, proof of personal insurance and an acceptable driving record.
  • This position requires DOT certification. To become an authorized driver and receive DOT certification, you must comply with all applicable DOT regulations, including but not limited to successful completion of medical and drug evaluations.
