Job description

WE ARE HIRING AN ASSOCIATE FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN IN VIRGINIA BEACH AREA!


The Associate Field Service Technician will provide on-site support to our customers.  They perform client-site servicing activities required by First Line Supplies Management (FLSM) Service Solution contracts. As a customer-facing and technical related role, this position is a potential gateway for other roles into the traditional services organization. 

Responsibilities:

FLSM Service Solution Maintenance

90%

  • Within defined service times, responds to routed and scheduled calls to service customer locations to perform the following activities/services on Entrust’s equipment:
    • Removal and secure destruction of spent material using custom ribbon/foil destruction tool and in accordance with established security protocol
    • Replacement of system supplies and consumables
    • Perform the documented preventative maintenance (PM) process
    • Perform systems tests to assure quality output
  • Maintains and manages –as instructed by management- required inventory of parts and supplies to perform activities/services
  • Reports activity in a timely manner
  • Requests and escalates for immediate support from manager in case difficulties arise in performance of activities or if during activity other potential technical issues outside of the scope of the role are identified
  • Follow and adhere to established processes and procedures
  • This role will drive to customer sites daily to provide service and maintenance as applicable. Significant mileage and time spent driving daily.


 Learning and Development

  • Participate in company sponsored personal development and quality initiatives
  • Complete all company training and development courses required by Entrust


Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Technical and or mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to lift to 70 lbs. and spend the majority of the shift including but not limited to driving, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, walking, etc.
  • Valid and active drivers license, and insurability
  • Overtime and on-call is required as needed
  • Strong organizational skills, planning skills, independent thinker
  • Proficient problem solving and troubleshooting skills for mechanical assemblies
  • Demonstrated ability of: time management, schedule and route planning, follow documented and technical process
  • Proficient with PC’s, operating systems and relevant software applications (MS Windows, MS Office)
  • Demonstrated communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to communicate effectively with external and internal customers
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, assignments and travel when required


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional electromechanical technician experience
  • Additional power supply and peripheral device repair experience
  • Technical education preferred
  • Skilled with tools and electronic test equipment
