Fall 2026 - Media Buying Internship

In addition to significant professional development, mentorship, and real-world project experience, participants will be considered for a one-time, performance-based payment at the conclusion of the program. The amount depends on business and individual results.

Bauer Entertainment Marketing (BEM) is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Media Buying Intern to support our traditional and digital media team. This internship offers hands-on experience working with advertising campaigns for concerts, festivals, performing arts centers, fairs, sporting events, and other live entertainment clients across the country.

You will gain hands-on experience supporting both traditional and digital advertising initiatives while learning the operations of a full-service marketing agency. Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with traditional media buys including radio, print, television, outdoor, and digital out-of-home
  • Organize and traffic creative assets to media partners
  • Track campaign budgets and reconcile media invoices
  • Pull campaign performance metrics and assist with reporting
  • Prepare campaign recap presentations
  • Research media outlets and advertising opportunities
  • Draft radio scripts and advertising copy points
  • Assist with media schedules and production timelines
  • Conduct audience and market research
  • Support digital advertising campaigns across Meta, Google, TikTok, and Programmatic platforms

This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in advertising, media buying, marketing analytics, or entertainment marketing who wants real-world agency experience.

This internship requires a minimum commitment of three days per week. Specific days and hours can be coordinated with your supervisor based on business needs and academic schedules.

This position reports to the Senior Media Buyer and supports our team of project managers and account coordinators. You'll work alongside experienced marketing professionals and contribute to campaigns for nationally recognized music, sports, and entertainment brands.

This is an internship that will correspond with your educational study/school credit requirements.

This internship can be done from our workspace in East Nashville and/or remotely.

The length of the internship has an expected, but flexible, start in August and completion in December.

Qualifications:

  • Current graduate student or undergraduate Junior or Senior
  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, Sports Management, Music Business, or related field
  • Strong interest in advertising, media buying, entertainment, and/or sports marketing
  • Experience in startups, marketing, and the entertainment industry are a bonus, but not required

Hard Skills:

  • Excellent written, oral, and visual communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google products
  • Comfortable working with numbers and spreadsheets

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervision
  • Great people skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues in-person and remotely
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, efficient, and productive while managing multiple tasks at once
  • Needs to be told things only once, but not afraid to ask for clarification
  • Capacity to get work done in a fast-paced environment not confined to a typical "9 to 5" day
  • Strong problem-solver and adept at anticipating opportunities
  • Seeks, welcomes, and uses constructive criticism to learn, grow, and improve

Mission: Support Bauer Entertainment Marketing's traditional and digital advertising efforts by assisting with media planning, campaign execution, reporting, and research while developing the skills needed to build a successful career in media buying and entertainment marketing.

Outcomes: By the end of the internship, you will:

  • Gain hands-on experience supporting traditional and digital advertising campaigns for nationally recognized music, sports, and entertainment clients.
  • Assist with media planning, campaign setup, asset management, reporting, and project coordination across multiple advertising channels.
  • Develop proficiency in campaign reporting, budget tracking, media research, and performance analysis.
  • Contribute to the timely execution of media buys and client deliverables while collaborating with the BEM team.
  • Build a strong understanding of audience targeting, media buying strategies, and campaign optimization through real-world agency experience.
