Job Title:  On Air Talent - Atlanta Radio

Position Overview

WALR-FM (KISS 104.1 Atlanta), Atlanta's home for R&B and Classic Soul, is seeking a dynamic, engaging, and experienced Full-Time On-Air Personality to join our award-winning team. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a passion for radio, community engagement, digital content creation, and delivering compelling entertainment that connects with Atlanta's diverse audience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Host a daily air shift while creating engaging, relevant, and entertaining content.
  • Execute station programming and promotions in accordance with company policies and FCC regulations.
  • Operate broadcast systems including WideOrbit, VoxPro, and Adobe Audition.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling on-air breaks, interviews, features, and listener interactions.
  • Create and publish content across station digital platforms and social media channels.
  • Maintain an active and professional social media presence, particularly on Instagram and Facebook.
  • Participate in station promotions, remote broadcasts, community events, and client appearances.
  • Represent KISS 104.1 in a professional manner at weekday and weekend station events.
  • Collaborate with programming, promotions, sales, and digital teams to support station initiatives and revenue opportunities.
  • Record commercial, promotional, and imaging content as assigned.
  • Stay informed on current events, entertainment news, community issues, and cultural trends relevant to the audience.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of five (5) years of on-air radio experience required.
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency in WideOrbit, VoxPro, and Adobe Audition.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, interviewing, and audience engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to create compelling content for radio, digital, and social platforms.
  • Active presence and proven engagement on social media, especially Instagram and Facebook.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be available for weekday and weekend station appearances, promotional events, and community activities.
  • Knowledge of the Atlanta market is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with live broadcasts, remote events, and community engagement.
  • Strong digital content creation skills including video and social media storytelling.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with listeners, community leaders, clients, and influencers.
