Job description

Stratolaunch is a technology accelerator that engineers operationally realistic testing at Mach 5+. Our air-launched, Talon testbeds are reusable, cost-effectΒ­ive platforms that enable routine access to the hypersonic environment. We deliver flight data critical to validating system performance and achieving rapid technology deployment. Together with our customers, we drive innovations that are imperative to advancing national security.

Stratolaunch is seeking a level I or II Data Analyst to support air-launched hypersonic vehicles. An ideal candidate will have knowledge of various data analytical concepts, programming languages, and tools. This role involves interfacing with a multi-disciplinary engineering team and program management.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate with design team to develop analytical approaches for data collection/ aggregation/analysis
  • Support development of efficient and effective test and evaluation plans
  • Participate in design reviews, readiness reviews, test execution, and post-test data reviews
  • Architect and optimize design and test data review and analysis methodologies and tools
  • Coordinate internally with multi-disciplinary team and externally with customers
  • Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, and integrity in the fulfillment of commitments
QUALIFICATION & SKILLS

Required Qualifications
  • Knowledge of data cleaning, analysis, modeling and visualization techniques
  • Ability to use programming languages to facilitate data analysis
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the SECRET or above level
Required Skills
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Project)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with an aerospace engineering development/modification program
  • Experience wearing multiple hats in a small team environment
  • Experience defining, managing, and verifying requirements for hypersonic vehicles with hot-structure airframes
  • Experience translating operational analysis into system requirements
  • Active security clearance
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with CAD (NX Preferred)
  • Experience with configuration management systems such as Jira, Git, etc.
  • Experience with requirement management systems such as Jama, Cameo, DOORS, etc.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Level I ($83,000-$120,500): Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from accredited institution, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Level II ($101,079-$146,500): Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from accredited institution and 2-5 years of engineering experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Special remarks regarding work environment, if applicable
  • Position based in Mojave, CA. Consideration for hybrid (partial remote/on-site work) work location arrangement for well-qualified candidates and remote (outside of CA) work location arrangement for exceptional candidates.
  • Travel, as needed, to support the department. Travel estimated to be <5%

Base salary and leveling are established on a case-by-case basis.
