Job description

Job Location – Burbank, CA  - Hybrid (4 days a week, onsite)

Type - Contract (24 Months)

Pay Rate – $78.00 - $88.00/hr

W2 only. C2C / Sponsorship is not available.

This Technical Business Analyst is essentially a bridge between our client's TV production finance teams and software developers. The strongest candidate will combine senior-level BA/BSA experience with entertainment/TV finance knowledge, strong data analysis, SQL/Excel, requirements documentation, and application testing.

The ideal candidate should have:

    • 10+ years as a Business Systems Analyst / Senior Business Analyst supporting custom software or application development.
    • Strong financial systems/domain experience — financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, production accounting/finance, ERP, or similar.
    • Ideally television production finance experience. TV is particularly valuable because candidates need to understand multiple shows, budgets, actuals, forecasts, production schedules, and development costs simultaneously.
    • Excellent requirements skills: take an Excel spreadsheet or business workflow, understand what the users are trying to accomplish, and turn it into detailed functional/technical specifications developers can code against.
    • Strong SQL + Excel data analysis, especially reconciling data, investigating discrepancies, validating large datasets, and determining why numbers do not match.
    • Experience developing test plans/test cases, application testing, UAT, reconciliation, interfaces, reports, and data conversions.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with both finance/business users and technical development teams.
    • Agile/Scrum experience.
    • Change management, training, documentation, and production/application support experience.
