Essential Functions as an Accounting Assistant:

Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts
Participate in processing cash receipts
Assist with fixed assets management
Internal financial report creation and preparation
Assist with internal audit internal and external functions as necessary
Assist with pricing new business opportunities
Work with other departments to ensure accurate and proper accounting for related transaction are made timely and reflected in balance sheet and P&L accounts
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
Perform such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time by the CFO, VP of Finance or supervisor

Desired Skills & Experience for an Accounting Assistant:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent years of experience and training
Good organizational skills and detail orientation
Able to effectively communicate (written and verbally) with all levels of company personnel and with outside contacts
Able to read and interpret financial data related to responsibilities
