Job Summary:
Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries. The Principal Infrastructure Architect plays a pivotal role in translating business requirements into tailored infrastructure designs and leading project deliveries while ensuring compatibility with customer systems.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and delivery of enterprise‑scale infrastructure architectures across on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid environments, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, and support long‑term business objectives.
• Translate business, program, and technical requirements into end‑to‑end infrastructure architectures aligned with industry best practices, organizational standards, and customer IT strategies.
• Serve as the senior technical authority for infrastructure architecture, providing guidance on system sizing, performance, availability, security, networking, operating systems, and database platforms.
• Partner with Sales, Pre‑Sales, Delivery, and Product teams to support pursuits, influence solution roadmaps, and guide customers through architectural options and trade‑offs.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching to other infrastructure architects and consultants, elevating architectural maturity across the organization.
• Ensure all solutions follow security, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements, upholding professional standards and organizational values.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Extensive experience as an Infrastructure Architect or Consultant delivering enterprise‑scale solutions across on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP) and hybrid infrastructure designs.
• Deep knowledge and experience with performance tuning practices for enterprise infrastructure components, including compute, storage, networking, security, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Solid experience with Windows and Linux operating systems and enterprise database platforms such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Demonstrated customer‑facing consulting skills, including stakeholder engagement, expectation management, and technical communication with both technical and executive audiences.
• Ability to work independently under self‑management, providing leadership within project and program constraints.
• Experience with enterprise-grade software platforms in Product Lifecycle Management or Manufacturing Operations Management domains.
Preferred:
• Experience serving as Lead Infrastructure Architect on strategic, largescale, or global consulting programs.
• Experience driving automation, standardization, and reusable architecture patterns through scripting, templates, or reference architectures.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring other architects or consultants and contributing to communities of practice or knowledge‑sharing initiatives.
• Experience with Siemens Digital Industries Software Teamcenter or Opcenter platforms.
