Position Summary The Coder will be responsible for accurately coding medical records for services rendered at our ENT or Allergy practice. This role ensures proper coding to maximize reimbursement and maintain compliance with federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical coding guidelines and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare providers and administrative staff. Key Responsibilities Review and analyze patient medical records to assign accurate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as payer-specific guidelines.Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify ambiguous documentation and ensure accurate code assignment.Assist in resolving coding-related billing issues and denials.Participate in coding audits and provide feedback for improvement.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding changes, regulations, and industry best practices.Contribute to the development and implementation of coding policies and procedures.
