Job description

Solomon Cordwell Buenz is looking for Architects I in its Boston, MA office. Qualified candidates will be Preparing design and technical drawings and solutions to complex architectural and interdisciplinary problems; Contributing to the project Building Information Modeling (BIM), execution plan (BEP) and work plan in conjunction with senior team leaders including the timing and format of models, drawings, mock ups, schedules, data summaries and specifications; Creating detailed 3D architectural models that include both geometric and non-geometric data to support design visualization, spatial analysis, and performance evaluation early in the project lifecycle using Revit, Rhino, Enscape, Adobe Photoshop Illustrator, and In-Design; Generating construction documents, including plans, sections, elevations, and schedules, directly from BIM models ensuring documentation remains synchronized with design updates; Establishing and maintaining BIM standards across projects, ensuring models adhere to company and industry best practices; Organizing model hierarchies, naming conventions, and file structures to maintain consistency; Using BIM-generated visualizations and walkthroughs to communicate design intent to clients, stakeholders, and approval authorities; Leveraging Al image-generation platforms such as Stable Diffusion and Midjourney to explore a wide range of conceptual design ideas; ; and integrating Al tools into the design pipeline to automate repetitive graphic tasks such as background generation, texture variation, and design alternatives.

Salary: $103,000 to $125,000/year

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Architecture and six month’s experience in position or six month’s experience in Architecture field.

Special requirements: Experience with Revit, Rhino, Enscape, Adobe Photoshop Illustrator, and In-Design. Must be licensed Architect in Massachusetts. Benefits include ins, PTO and 401k
