Overview

Sales Representative - Spain (SodaStream)

Position Overview

The Sales Representative will be responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy of SodaStream in Spain, with a strong focus on expanding distribution, increasing sell-out performance, and strengthening relationships with retail partners.

The role requires a highly proactive commercial profile capable of opening new accounts, developing existing customers, and driving in-store execution to accelerate category growth in the Spanish market. The Sales Representative will act as a key interface between SodaStream and retailers, ensuring optimal visibility, product availability, and promotional implementation.

Responsibilities

1. Retail Sales Development

  • Develop and manage relationships with national and regional retail accounts, including consumer electronics retailers, home appliance chains, supermarkets, and department stores.
  • Identify and open new distribution opportunities to increase brand presence across Spain.
  • Negotiate product listings, shelf placement, and promotional activities with retail partners.
  • Ensure optimal assortment and product availability across all accounts.

2. Account Management

  • Maintain regular contact with store managers, buyers, and retail partners.
  • Monitor account performance, sales trends, and stock levels.
  • Implement corrective actions when necessary to ensure sales targets are met.
  • Manage Mediamarkt stores (39) as Key POS.

3. In-Store Execution

  • Ensure proper visual merchandising and product presentation in retail locations.
  • Coordinate and execute in-store promotions, demonstrations, and product launches.
  • Monitor compliance with brand guidelines and retail agreements.

4. Market Intelligence

  • Track competitor activity, retail pricing, and market trends.
  • Provide regular feedback to the management team regarding opportunities and risks in the Spanish market.
  • Identify regional opportunities for expansion or improved performance.

5. Sales Planning and Reporting

  • Deliver sales forecasts and periodic sales reports.
  • Track key performance indicators such as:
    • Distribution growth
    • Sell-in and sell-out performance
    • Promotional effectiveness
    • Retail compliance

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure smooth commercial operations.
  • Support marketing campaigns and product launches at the retail level.

  • Increase sales volume and market penetration of home carbonation systems.
