Charter One works with schools across the country to provide all-inclusive education management services. We handle the day-to-day work so that client school boards can focus on governance and policy issues to be sure that the vision and mission of the school are being carried out properly.


American Leadership Academy - Lexington is now accepting applications for English Teachers for the 2026-2027 academic year. Candidates must be willing to undergo a background check.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Implement a comprehensive English curriculum that includes literature, writing, grammar, and language skills.
  • Create detailed lesson plans that align with state standards and address various learning styles.
  • Incorporate approved texts and media, including novels, poetry, drama, and digital resources from curriculum guidelines.
  • Teach English classes effectively, using a range of instructional methods such as lectures, discussions, group work, and individual projects.
  • Facilitate engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, reading comprehension, and effective writing skills.
  • Encourage students to analyze texts, develop arguments, and express their ideas clearly.
  • Develop and administer a variety of assessments, including tests, essays, presentations, and projects, to evaluate student understanding and progress.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback on assignments and assessments to help students improve.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
