We also provide customer specific in-field application support. A network of terminals, employing trains, trucks, and barges, transports products to meet customer's "On-time" demands.
Education/Experience Requirements:
1.1 Must have a sufficient understanding of the English language, basic mathematics skills (i.e. addition and subtraction), and the ability to carry out oral and written instructions, may include the completion of paperwork.
2.0 Job Responsibilities Overview:
2.1 This position is responsible for performing a variety of general duties in the kiln department and other departments as required. This position must be able to work more than eight (8) hours per day. This includes weekends and holidays.
  • Currently scheduled for 12-hour shifts.
  • Shift schedule is a 2-2-3.

3.0 Detailed Position Objectives:
  1. Perform routine maintenance including, but not limited to, lubrication and cleaning of equipment. This will involve the climbing of stairs and ladders, and being exposed to heights.
    1. Trouble shoot and resolve equipment operational issues during production. Effective and timely communication of said issue(s) to Management and Maintenance personnel if unable to resolve the problem.

  1. Operate a small CAT model loader with front mounted hydraulically powered bucket or forks to lift and/or transport materials.

  1. Operate storage bin load-out spouts. From these storage bins, materials, such as bulk Dolomitic quick lime, bulk Dolomitic hydrated lime, and kiln dust, are loaded into all types of haul units, including rail type.

  1. Communicate and cooperate with management, coworkers, truckers, and customers as required.

  1. Operate and maintain the coal handling system. This includes loading and unloading.

  1. Periodically lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and/or moving up to 50 lbs. Employee must get assistance if lifting more than 50 lbs.

  1. Must pass yearly pulmonary function test. The results must prove the ability to wear a respirator. If a failed test occurs, a second opinion will be required.

  1. Learn rotary kiln processes and how to operate a rotary kiln, along with all related equipment within a reasonable amount of time.

  1. Collect material samples as required for quality testing.

  1. Perform other duties as required or directed and adhere to all safety requirements.
