Job description

We are looking for an Education/ Instructor Team Member to support tax education initiatives while building strong relationships with customers in Salinas, California. This contract-to-permanent position is ideal for someone who combines tax preparation knowledge with excellent communication skills and enjoys guiding learners, resolving product questions, and identifying opportunities to recommend additional services when appropriate. The person in this role will help deliver bilingual educational content, support instructors, and contribute to a high-quality learning experience for both customers and training participants.


Responsibilities:

• Respond to daily tax-related customer inquiries with clear, accurate guidance and attentive support.

• Lead instructional sessions for tax education programs and deliver engaging training for diverse audiences.

• Develop and refine course materials by researching current federal and state tax topics.

• Coordinate the onboarding process for new and returning instructors to ensure they are prepared for training delivery.

• Collaborate with sales and customer-facing teams to align communication approaches across phone, chat, and online interactions.

• Present or facilitate live webinars in English and Spanish, serving as either the primary speaker or session moderator.

• Oversee live virtual events on platforms such as Facebook and Zoom, including moderation and participant engagement.

• Maintain and update the instructor webinar schedule to keep training activities organized and current.

• Prepare, format, and translate educational manuscripts and training documents in English, Spanish, and bilingual versions.

• 3+ years of experience in tax preparation or a closely related tax-focused role.

• Hands-on knowledge of individual tax returns and individual tax regulations.

• Proficiency with different Tax Software.

• Ability to explain tax concepts clearly to customers, learners, and instructors.

• Experience presenting training, leading webinars, or facilitating educational sessions.

• Strong bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish.

• Comfortable troubleshooting customer questions and identifying appropriate upsell opportunities when relevant.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Working on or is an Enrolled Agent (EA).

• Teaching experience preferred.

• Communicate clearly and effectively.

• Ability to prepare written reports, correspondence and presentations to the executive team when required.

• Competent to maintain positive relationships internally and externally.

• Perform desktop publishing, create, and develop visual presentation when necessary.
