This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. Primary Duties:

  • Serve as technical authority and Subjec Matter Expert (SME) for the Conoflow product line, including regulators, transducers, and associated control components
  • Lead design and development of precision pressure control products, from concept through production
  • Define product requirements in collaboration with customers, sales, and cross-functional teams
  • Apply advanced analytical and engineering techniques to develop robust, reliable designs for fluid and pressure control systems
  • Develop detailed CAD models, assemblies, and engineering documentation
  • Drive design validation, including performance testing, environmental testing, and certification activities
  • Lead and develop Design FMEA and risk mitigation strategies
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to product performance, reliability, or manufacturability
  • Serve as escalation point for field issues, customer complaints, and returned product analysis
  • Provide guidance on cost optimization, material selection, and manufacturability improvements
  • Manage engineering projects including timeline, cost, and resource coordination

SME-Specific Responsibilities: 

Provide deep technical expertise in regulator and/or transducer design, including: 

  • Pressure regulation principles (spring-loaded, dome-loaded, pilot-operated, etc.)
  • Sensing and measurement technologies (strain gauge, piezoelectric, etc.)
  • Fluid dynamics and gas handling behavior
  • Support customer-facing technical discussions, including complex applications and custom solutions
  • Drive standardization and best practices within the Conoflow product family
  • Influence product roadmap and identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation 

Other Duties:

  • Provide advanced technical support for production, service, and field applications 
  • Train and mentor engineering and production staff 
  • Support sales with application engineering and customer training 
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to improve assembly, testing, and production processes 
  • Diagnose and address design-for-manufacturability issues, including tolerances and drawing interpretation 

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant product development experience (automation industry or process control experience preferred)
  • Direct experience with pressure regulators, transducers, or fluid control products strongly preferred

Skills and Competencies:

  • Advanced skills in engineering techniques and technical writing.
  • Completes and constructs technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of engineering terms and standard engineering techniques.
  • Intermediate command of communication protocols.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to create and edit 3D CAD and 2D drawings. (SolidWorks)

ITT offers a competitive salary and robust total rewards package, such as health insurance, 401(k), short and long-term disability, paid time off, growth and developmental opportunities, and other incentive compensation programs. Specific benefits are dependent upon whether or not the position is part of a collective-bargaining agreement. The salary offered to a candidate is based several factors such as candidate experience and qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations.
Annual salary range is $73,700 to $100,000, plus benefits and incentive plans.
