Position Summary:
The Engineering Support- Bemis Health Care (BHC) position will drive documentation and completion of changes to BHC products andprocesses through the Engineering Change Control System. This will includedriving documentation and completion of the Label Control System, ProcessValidation System and the Sample Planner System. Interaction with multiple departments tocoordinate, communicate and enable completion of their responsibilities relatedto these systems.
The incumbent will live the corporate values oftreating people with dignity and respect, practicing leadership, drivingcontinuous improvement, acting with a sense of urgency, promoting innovation,fighting for consensus, and managing through teams.
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the change process, from initiation to project completion, ensuring technical validation and documentation is in order, and the change is successful.
  • Perform product testing and reporting that supports Change Control, Process Validation, and Product Development activities.
  • Facilitate communication between departments (engineering, manufacturing, quality, etc.) to ensure all affected parties are aligned and informed on changes.
  • Create sample planners and serve as the BHC representative in the planning process, confirming that the equipment and personnel are available to complete testing.
  • Manage information gathering and documentation in the Change Control, the Label Control, and Process Validation Procedures.
  • Partner with quality to ensure industry standards and regulations are being met.
  • Responsible for lab, test and storage area organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • High School diploma required with associates degree a strong plus.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
  • Documentation, change control experience highly preferred.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to effectively organize resources to complete multiple projects with minimal direct supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to prioritize, and multi-task effectively and efficiently while managing interruptions.
  • Project management skills preferred with ability to manage tasks, timelines, and resources effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across at all levels of the organization, build strong relationships, and relay information (both verbal and written) clearly and concisely.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
  • Indoor office setting, controlled temperature.
  • 40+ hours per week.
  • Minimal lifting, up to 20lbs.
  • Minimal bending and reaching.
  • May be required to enter manufacturing operations where steel toe shoe, protective eye wear and hearing protection is required.
