This role will have a mix of project management and technical resource responsibilities across a broad range of multi-year projects within aerospace, water treatment, and more. Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management & Delivery Lead engineering projects from initiation through completion, overseeing project scope, planning, scheduling, budgeting, staffing, invoicing, resource forecasting, and successful delivery.
  • Technical Leadership Direct engineering design, technical analysis, and the preparation and review of studies, reports, plans, specifications, cost estimates, calculations, construction documents, submittals, and RFIs for water, wastewater, and groundwater infrastructure projects.
  • Quality & Compliance Ensure technical excellence by overseeing QA/QC processes and applying engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and company procedures throughout project delivery.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, agencies, consultants, contractors, and internal teams, building trusted relationships and ensuring effective project coordination.
  • Team Leadership Mentor, develop, and provide technical leadership to Project Engineers and engineering staff while fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Business Development & Continuous Improvement Contribute to proposal development, project pursuits, backlog planning, and client growth initiatives while driving continuous improvements in project delivery, operational workflows, and client service.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in soil/groundwater remediation, water, wastewater, vapor intrusion, and stormwater project design
  • Design experience on groundwater or wastewater treatment systems
  • At least two years of project management experience
  • California P.E. license or the ability to obtain one through reciprocity within a reasonable time frame
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Civil Engineering
  • Ability to establish and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to learn and adapt
  • Ability to manage several project management/engineering tasks concurrently
  • Solid organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships with multi-disciplinary team members
Preferred qualifications:
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
  • First aid/CPR trained
  • Familiarity with Project Management platforms such as AutoCAD Forma
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Plant 3D
  • Familiarity with control system narratives
  • Familiarity with low-voltage power
  • California Stormwater Design and Qualified SWPPP
  • Developer Design of vapor barriers and mitigation systems

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as various market and business considerations.

US Pay Range $175,000-$240,000 USD
  • Full-time employees receive a well-rounded benefit package including access to our company-sponsored Medical (including an HSA High Deductible option), Dental, Vision, FSA, and Supplemental Life Insurance plans.
  • We also offer 100% company-paid Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability coverage.
  • Employees are eligible to participate in our company’s 401(k) plan with up to a 4% match.
  • Additionally, employees receive paid vacation and sick time, 11 paid holidays, and are able to participate in employee ownership options.
  • MacKay pays for expenses associated with licensure as well as annual performance bonuses.
