Quality Engineer
Full-Time
Water Valley, MS
The Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting assigned production operations to ensure the integrity of components and finished products. This role drives continuous quality improvement initiatives with the objective of achieving zero-defect performance, supports new product development and launch activities, and leads problem-solving and process improvement efforts to protect and enhance product quality.
  • Support new product development, launches, and product/process changes using APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and Change Management systems.
  • Lead or support structured problem solving (8D, 5-Why), containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain process controls, inspection methods, capability studies, and quality documentation in compliance with IATF 16949 and customer requirements.
  • Monitor quality performance metrics and drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and mistake-proofing initiatives.
  • Provide day-to-day quality support to production and cross-functional teams; supervise Quality Technicians as assigned.
  • Support supplier quality activities and interface with customers as required.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in automotive manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and Lean manufacturing.
  • Proven problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
