The successful candidate will have experience engaging with clients directly in providing innovative design solutions in the transportation sector. What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing project leadership role with a team in the preparation of designs, cost estimates, specifications, and contract documents, as well as participating in scheduling, budgeting, tendering, contract administration, and inspection.
  • Advancing projects through the concept, design, and construction phases; managing existing clients; and developing new clients.
  • Delivering projects on budget and within identified schedules.
  • Acting as the primary contact for all project-related client communications.
  • Leading a multi-disciplinary project team to undertake major transportation projects.
  • Mentoring and coaching a team of engineers and technologists.
  • Engaging in a collaborative work environment with your team as well as other disciplines and offices.

Does this sound like you?

  • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution or a Civil Engineering or Technology diploma from an accredited technical college
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGA or Registered with ASET (or eligible for registration).
  • For P. Eng. 8+ years of progressive experience in Civil Engineering for public and private sector clients with a focus on the Transportation sector. For Technologists, 10+ years of experience.
  • Experience working with Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors is a requirement.
  • Proven project management and business development experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel throughout Alberta.
