Job description

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $30hr - $35hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Active Secret Clearance required.

Responsibilities:

  • Transport test equipment, fixtures, and cables to required testing locations.
  • Setup tests per written documentation and engineering direction.
  • Verify all test equipment is in calibration.
  • Verify all licensed test software is not expired.
  • Assemble custom or COTS equipment/fixtures.
  • Perform test and record required information.
  • Document failures and report any anomalies to key stakeholders.
  • Execute automated software using LabVIEW and/or TestStand GUIs.
  • Troubleshoot failed assemblies with engineering oversight.
  • Operate RF, optical and/or digital test equipment including network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, noise figure analyzers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, OTDRs, OBRs, lasers, SOAs, BERT, DMMs and power supplies.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with qualification testing, including vibration, thermal and thermal vacuum testing.

Skills:

  • Experience operating RF and Digital test equipment and technology is a must.
  • Very strong computer skills, must be able to run automated tests.
  • Strong attention to detail and able to work with small/fragile/detailed parts.
  • Excellent communication, technical writing and presentation skills.
  • Experience handling very sensitive and fragile hardware, including mating and de-mating high density connectors, RF and optical connections.
  • Willing to work overtime as requested.

Education and Experience:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
