What you'll do
We are looking for an RF Engineering Test Tech to join out team! You will work in a collaborative and inclusive environment that values diverse perspectives and continuous learning, and provides industry-leading benefits with unmatched opportunities for career growth.
The day-to-day
  • Troubleshooting and debugging of RF devices, down to component level
  • Run tests on Viasat products and report results
  • Performing RF testing; installation, set-up, tuning and data analysis
  • Assist in building, troubleshooting and maintenance of Specialized Test Equipment used in product testing
  • Assist in documentation writing, such as Assembly Drawings, BoM's, Wiring Diagrams, ATP's, etc.

What you'll need
  • 5+ years of related experience working in the electronics field
  • 3+ years of troubleshooting and repairing RF devices
  • Experience using Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, and RF test equipment
  • Proven experience in testing electronic products
  • Ability to read schematics and understand electronic circuits
  • Familiarity with common test equipment and troubleshooting methods
  • Ability to follow a test procedure and complete necessary paperwork
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office for documentation creation, and modification
  • Associate's degree in a technical rigor or equivalent experience
  • ship required
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain when administratively feasible

Salary range
$21.63 - $34.13 / hourly. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $26.68 - $40.14/ hourly
