Role Purpose:

This position will coordinate with the Engineering Manager for the promotion of their Tech Segment. Additionally, they will provide leadership and direction for the Team of Integration and Systems Engineers to promote the sales growth of technical products at profit margins that meet or exceed the companyโ€™s targets.

Engineering Supervisor responsibilities include:

  • Assists the Engineering Manager in determining the resource requirements of their Tech Segment.
  • Provides leadership and direction to the Integration and Systems Engineers in their Tech Segment.
  • Continuing to support daily Customer / Account Manager activity in their Tech Segment
  • Provides leadership and direction to the Kettering University Co-Op program
  • Provides leadership and direction to any College Interns
  • Coordinates efforts with the Engineering Manager to manage daily business opportunities and evaluate new products.
  • Coordinates technical product-vendor activities.
  • Assists the Engineering Manager in the development of the annual Rockwell Marketing Plan and commercial calendar
  • Coordinates with other non-RA vendors on annual marketing plans
  • Establishes performance measures and provides annual reviews for all direct reports.
  • Supervises staffing levels, staff assignments and training.
  • Supervises activities including service, training, technical support and the co-op program.
  • Assists with the maintenance of any dashboards or reports used by the sales department for their Tech Segment.
  • Creates, implements and revises procedures and instructions.

Desired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Include:

  • Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of six yearsโ€™ experience in the electrical distribution field.
  • Thorough knowledge of customer and supply base as well as an advanced knowledge of products distributed by McNaughton-McKay Electric Company.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of PC including MS office products.
