Engineering Supervisor
Overview
This role will support the Engineering management and will be responsible for providing both technical and administrative assistance throughout the engineering department. Working as a key member of our team, we expect that our chosen individual will be hands-on, highly organized and highly motivated. This role will be critical to ensuring proper guest satisfaction and quick resolution for any maintenance issues.
Responsibilities
  • Assist Engineering managment with the full upkeep of the preventative maintenance, including the keeping of logs on work done, scheduling and the assignment of projects and other related tasks.
  • Assist Engineering management with the procurement of supplies and the issuance of purchase orders.
  • Ensure CARE and PRP programs are properly maintained and inspect rooms after work is complete.
  • Manage Synergy application daily to plan and update as needed.
  • Review work orders and assign work by priorities.
  • Maintain up-to-date inventories of heat, light & power and repair and maintenance supplies.
  • Respond to guest requests.
  • Work with the Engineering staff on a shift basis and coordinate their activities.
  • Assume full responsibility for the Engineering Department in the absence of the Engineering management
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni's job scenarios.
  • Must be familiar with Omni's Systems and Services procedures.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience within an upscale hotel or resort engineering team is preferred.
  • Prior leadership experience is strongly preferred.Must be willing to work based on business levels and occupancy levels.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays. Candidate must be organized and manage his/her time as there will be more than one task starting at the same time.
  • Candidate must be able to not only follow direction but be able to think on their feet.
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with the hotel guests.
  • Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC and Swimming Pool knowledge is preferred.
  • Candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience supervising a team of 5 or more employees
