Job description

You will serve as an Engineering Technician in the Facilities Division (Code 701) of the Fuels Department of Commander, Navy Installation Command, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.Qualifications:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-08) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying knowledge of methods and techniques of engineering, maintenance and repair contracts, cost allocations and telecommunications systems. Specialized experience demonstrates the following: 1) Prepares cost allocation to tenant activities for recurring maintenance and services performed under service contract; 2) Manages work performed by Standard Job Orders (SJO), on facilities that include but are not limited to generators, electrical equipment, AC systems, fire doors, intrusion alarms, elevator inspections, etc. 3) Reviews plans and designs, and analyzes drawings, specifications, maintenance records and other sources and makes recommendations for repairs and maintenance facilities; 4) Serves as a Quality Assurance Evaluator (QAE) to perform administration and surveillance on a variety of service, maintenance, and repair contracts; and 5) Manages telecommunications systems, coordinates installation and removal of telephones and other communications equipment.
