SUMMARY Under general direction, incumbents act as the single point of contact between the city and developers/customers for civil projects from beginning to completion. Incumbents provide guidance to developers, design professionals and staff during the civil process. Incumbents perform complex technical duties related to civil engineering tasks such as accepting, processing, reviewing, coordinating, and routing engineering construction permit applications and related documents for utility, capital improvements projects, commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
In addition, provide support with processing permitting documents. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associate's degree and three years of related experience in civil engineering, project management, construction, building or trades, or a field directly related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must have at time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Driver License.
