Our Senior Staff Engineer works with our Distinguished Engineer and Staff Engineers to design, deploy, andmaintainOpenStack-based environments. You will help lead the automation of cloud operations, support containerization initiatives, and helpoptimizeour CI/CD pipelines.The ideal candidate hasexpertisein monitoring and observability stacks, Python or similar languages, infrastructure deployment automation, and containerization technologies. Experience with OpenStack ispreferred, butadditionalexperience in otherrequiredareas may offset.

PositionResponsibilities
As a Senior Staff Engineer, you will:

  • Improve on monitoring,observabilityand performance of deployed systems

  • Design, deploy, and manage OpenStack-based cloud environments

  • Develop andmaintainautomation scripts and playbooks using Python, Ansible, and GitHub Workflows

  • Implement andoptimizeCI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application delivery

  • Support containerization initiatives (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in cloud and automation workflows

  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams

  • Share best practices and improve processes within and across teams

  • Participate in on-call and operational support as needed

  • Mentor junior engineers

Qualifications

  • Strong experience with monitoring, logging,alertingand observability in cloud environments

  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting in cloud environments

  • Deep familiarity with tools like Grafana and Promethius

  • Experience with performance tuning

  • Proficiencyin Python programming and scripting

  • Experience with OpenStack administration and operations preferred

  • Strong experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and workflows (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions,ArgoCD)

  • Proficiencyin Python programming or scripting

  • Good understanding of networking and security best practices in cloud deployments

  • Experience with infrastructure as code and deployment automation

Experience

  • 8+ years of professional experience in cloud engineering, platform administration, or infrastructure automation

  • 8+ years of experience with OpenStack or similar cloud platforms

  • 8+ years of experience with Python and Ansible

  • 8+ years of experience with CI/CD systems and containerization technologies

  • Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, oron-premises) is a plus

  • Experience with low level virtualization technologies (QEMU/libvirt) is a plus

Education

Bachelor'sdegree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience

Annual Salary

$105,000.00 - $230,000.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
