Job Description

A  responsible for overseeing all aspects of a structural engineering project from conception to completion, including leading design teams, managing budgets and timelines, coordinating with other disciplines, conducting site visits, and ensuring the structural integrity of a building or structure meets all necessary codes and client requirements, while maintaining clear communication with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Project Manager Structural Engineer 

Position Type: Full Time
Office: Warrington, PA
Salary Range: $90,000 to $110,000 annually

Responsibilities:
• Designing and analyzing existing and proposed structures, including buildings, bridges, culverts, and other infrastructure
• Work with Architects to provide building/structural engineering services
• Securing, planning, directing, and monitoring all aspects of local, county, and state bridge projects, including permits
• Building and bridge inspections
• Ability to draft and prepare effective and efficient project proposals
• Construction support services, such as contract administration, project coordination, permitting, and budget management
• Understanding of project financials and reporting; maintaining compliance with project budgets.
• Participate in local civic and professional organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce, ASCE, and NSPE to promote the Company.
• Assist Senior Management with managing and growing the Corporate Structural Engineering Discipline.
• Assist Senior Management with retention and development of Client relationships
• Transition to developing, managing, and mentoring a staff of Structural Engineers and Structural Designers with financial objectives, including utilization, profit, and overhead.

Qualifications

Requirements:
• B.S. in Structural, Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in PA is required, and NJ preferred
• 10+ years of general structural engineering experience, including buildings, bridges, and retaining walls
• Experience working with Architects
• Experience working with local and state agencies
• Experience working on PennDOT or Turnpike projects is highly preferred
• Progressive experience working directly with clients and managing all aspects of projects
• Excellent communication, project management, and client relation skills
• Strong organization and leadership skills with a track record for understanding and adhering to contractual requirements
• Some AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred
• Knowledge of structural design software, including PennDOT programs
