Job description

Acero Engineering Inc. (โ€œAceroโ€), a growing oil & gas facilities engineering company providing engineering, procurement and construction management expertise is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill one role as a Process Designer (8-month contract role).

Acero is focused on facility and pipeline engineering, procurement and construction management services; from concept evaluation to plant start-up. Our core service offering is in-house project management, process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control engineering, project engineering, procurement, regulatory services, civil and structural engineering, and construction management.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Process drafting team creating P&IDs and PFDs in MicroStation.
  • Managing line numbers, equipment and instrument tags to avoid duplicates.
  • Follow company specifications for selection of insulation thickness.
  • Good understanding of overall P&ID representation.
  • Ability to follow Piping 3D model for P&ID yellow off purpose.
  • Other tasks/responsibilities, as required.

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Required: Graduate of an Engineering Design and Drafting program or Process Piping Drafting Certificate
  • Required: Knowledge in MicroStation
  • Required: 6+ yearsโ€™ experience creating P&IDs
  • Previous experience in Oil Sands is desirable, but not fully necessary
  • Related experience at an EPC, specifically oil and gas facility projects, is desirable
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Excel and MS Outlook
  • Proficient knowledge of the English language, written and verbal
  • Must be a team player and a self-starter
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight timelines as occasionally demanded by our clients
