Engineering Project Manager - JLL
What this job involves:
As an Engineering Project Manager at JLL, you will join our Project and Development Services team, applying advanced project management skills to handle a variety of projects with different sizes, types, and complexities. This role contributes to JLL's business objectives by managing construction projects with a focus on physical construction processes, safety planning, logistics planning, and site supervision. Working as "One Team" within the JLL Account Team, you will be responsible for preparing accurate project documentation, developing risk management plans, and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Prepare or oversee the preparation of accurate project documentation for all construction phases
  • Develop risk management plans and lead teams through established work authorization processes
  • Handle multiple projects in various stages of completion simultaneously
  • Work collaboratively within the JLL Account Team structure
  • Manage vendors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with all project policies and procedures
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with subcontractors that align with client value expectations
  • Ensure formal project closeout within 120 days after project completion
  • Apply knowledge of laboratories, manufacturing areas, and/or MEP building utility and automation systems
  • Maintain site presence and provide supervision as needed for construction activities
  • Leverage connections with other JLL Service Lines to create additional opportunities to serve clients

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience demonstrating advanced project management/engineering skills
  • Experience managing a variety of project sizes, types, and complexities
  • Experience with physical construction processes and procedures, including safety and logistics planning
  • Knowledge/experience of laboratories, manufacturing areas, and/or MEP building utility systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project software
  • Willingness to train and become proficient in JLL's and client's project management software

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of PDS Platform (including Atlas, One View, Tools, & Templates)
  • Experience with site supervision in construction environments
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate favorable terms with subcontractors
  • Track record of successful project closeouts
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies
  • Knowledge of interconnection points with other JLL Service Lines
  • Experience with risk management in critical environments
  • Commitment to personal professional development

Estimated compensation for this position:
90,000.00 - 125,000.00 USD per year
This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
