This role offers the opportunity to build and scale exceptional teams, influence strategy with senior leaders, and drive meaningful change through modern engineering practices, clear accountability, and a strong culture of ownership. If you are energized by complex challenges, leadership at scale, and the chance to make a lasting impact, this is a role where you can lead from the front and deliver results that matter.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead one or more cross-discipline engineering teams or a department, including planning, staffing, execution, and continuous improvement.
  • Own functional execution for scope, schedule, budget, and technical quality across projects, pursuits, and programs.
  • Implement and scale an integrated operating model with clear role ownership, decision rights, and accountability.
  • Establish repeatable engineering processes, common tools, and shared metrics to enable segment-wide interoperability.
  • Lead cross-functionally across a portfolio of programs to align priorities and deliver results.
  • Build and maintain workforce and staffing plans to ensure the right talent capacity for current and future business needs.
  • Own recruiting, hiring, performance management, coaching, succession planning, and development of high-performing teams.
  • Drive disciplined engineering rigor and verification practices to improve first-time-right execution and reduce rework.
  • Enable Agile delivery and rapid prototyping/simulation approaches while maintaining safety, compliance, and mission assurance requirements.
  • Partner with Program Management, Chief Engineers, and functional peers on proposal activities, cost estimates, basis of estimate, and manpower planning.
  • Communicate and influence effectively across internal and external stakeholders on matters of substantial importance.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% (or as required by business needs).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required U.S. Government security clearances (minimum Secret).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
  • Broad management and cross-functional leadership experience, including leadership of experienced professionals and/or leaders of leaders.
  • Demonstrated success driving execution across multi-discipline engineering teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience with workforce planning, staffing strategy, recruiting, and talent development.
  • Experience with EVMS/CAM responsibilities and proposal development (including BOE generation).
  • Experience with program execution frameworks, schedule/cost performance, and risk-driven technical planning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Secret clearance preferred.
  • Prior leadership across two or more engineering disciplines (e.g., systems, software, electrical, mechanical, test, specialty engineering).
  • Experience working in mission-critical or safety-critical development environments.
  • Experience leading organizational change and scaling teams through growth or realignment.
  • Familiarity with Agile-at-scale operating models and digital engineering/toolchain modernization.
