Position Description:
Join a high-performing Agile team as a Configuration Manager, ensuring the integrity, traceability, and quality of mission-critical supervisory systems for a federal agency. You'll manage configuration items, oversee version control, and support secure, automated software delivery pipelines. If you're detail-oriented, thrive in fast-paced environments, and want to play a key role in digital transformation, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact in a mission-driven organization.
This position is located in our Lafayette, Louisiana or Knoxville, office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
. Develop, implement, and maintain configuration management (CM) processes, standards, and documentation for enterprise systems and software
. Manage version control of software, documentation, and configuration items using tools such as Git and Azure DevOps
. Perform physical configuration audits to ensure conformance between products and baseline documentation
. Oversee change control processes, including tracking, reviewing, and approving configuration changes
. Support CI/CD pipeline automation and ensure configuration integrity throughout the software development lifecycle
. Collaborate with development, operations, security, and QA teams to ensure consistent configuration practices
. Maintain and organize program documents using SharePoint or similar tools
. Provide configuration status accounting and reporting to stakeholders
. Support audits, compliance reviews, and continuous improvement of CM processes
. Train and mentor team members on configuration management best practices
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
. 3+ years of experience in configuration management, version control, or related roles in software/system environments
. Proficiency with version control systems (Git, Azure DevOps) and configuration management tools
. Experience developing and maintaining CM plans, procedures, and documentation
. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Agile/DevSecOps practices, and software release management
. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
. Eligibility for federal background investigation and compliance with security requirements (U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency with 3+ years residency)
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
Experience supporting enterprise-scale applications in regulated or federal environments
Familiarity with ITIL, CMMI, or ISO 9001 quality standards
Experience with SharePoint or other document management systems
Certifications in configuration management, Agile, or DevOps (e.g., CMII, ITIL, SAFe)

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $56,600.00 - $139,300.00.
