Waltonen is actively seeking a Program Manager to join our team!
Job Responsibilities
  • Monitor, direct, and control manufacturing programs. Lead in the areas of cost, schedule, and performance.
  • Direct a focused program, including strategic planning, analyzing program activities, expenses, and profits, and establishing goals.
  • Plan and direct a group of individuals, monitoring their work and taking corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure risks are properly managed and mitigated to avoid becoming issues. Risk management is critical to project success. Create a robust process for the identification, management, and mitigation of risk.
  • The Program Manager must have strong practical experience in project management, gained by managing manufacturing-related projects.

Qualifications
  • Knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques
  • 2+ years experience with automotive and/or aerospace fixtures required
  • Knowledge of machining, tool build, welding and CMM processes in regards to timing, milestones, and deadlines
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office programs
  • Understanding of the wider objectives of the program
  • The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed, with the ability to adapt to fluctuating workloads
  • Ability to work positively with the wide range of individuals involved in program management
  • Requires strong leadership and people skills. As well as a strong management discipline and communication skills
  • Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Experience leading/following manufacturing projects
  • Willingness to travel as necessary

  • Estimating experience preferred
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Project
