Job description

About Revolution Space
At Revolution Space we're building advanced space systems for the 21st century. Every employee at Revolution Space works on projects that are critical to our company's future by ensuring our products work on orbit every time.
Position Summary:
Revolution Space is looking for a highly organized, proactive, and results-driven Technical Program Manager to support complex technical programs from proposal through execution. This individual will be responsible for Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development and management, Statement of Work (SOW) creation and review, critical path analysis, schedule optimization, and technical cross-functional program coordination.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced engineering environment, can effectively challenge technical assumptions, identify risks before they become issues, and drive teams toward successful execution while maintaining commitments, schedule, and scope. This role is ideal for someone who serves as the operational backbone of technical programs-bringing structure, discipline, and execution rigor while enabling engineering teams to deliver successfully.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and manage Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for highly technical programs.
  • Create, review, and refine Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring alignment between technical, contractual, and programmatic requirements.
  • Conduct critical path analyses and identify schedule risks, constraints, and opportunities.
  • Partner closely with engineering, test, and research team to reduce schedule duration, improve execution efficiency, and identify schedule recovery opportunities.
  • Develop alternative execution approaches and contingency plans to maintain commitments within approved technical scope, budget, and schedule constraints.
  • Facilitate program planning activities, including work breakdown structures, milestone development, resource planning, and risk management.
  • Lead action item tracking and ensure timely closure of program issues, risks, and decisions.
  • Drive accountability throughout the organization by establishing clear ownership, priorities, and follow-through.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in program planning, project management, technical program management, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
  • Experience writing and reviewing Statements of Work (SOWs) and technical program documentation.
  • Strong understanding of critical path methodology, schedule risk analysis, and program execution best practices.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, government, R&D, or highly technical engineering programs.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Highly proactive and action oriented.
  • Strong leadership presence without direct authority.
  • Able to influence and motivate technical teams toward common objectives.
  • Comfortable working through ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities.
  • Detail-oriented while maintaining focus on overall program objectives.
  • Relentless in driving actions to closure and removing execution barriers.

Benefits
  • Paid holidays, sick time, and unmetered vacation
  • Excellent health and dental plans with 80% employer contribution
  • 4% company matching 401k plan with immediate vesting
  • Life Insurance
  • Long-term / short term disability
  • Education assistance
