  • Design and implement control systems and panels to maintain and improve manufacturing capabilities and sustainability;
  • Prepare cost estimates for new items needed for production and new or modified equipment control needs;
  • Select manufacturing controls equipment; prepare specifications, confer with vendors and prepare capital appropriations;
  • Assist with preparation of expense and capital forecasts, budgets, controls and expenditures.

  • B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering;
  • A minimum of 2 years of Electrical Engineering / Control Systems Engineering experience is required, 4 years is preferred;
  • Experience with programming ladder logic is required;
  • Experience with troubleshooting, modifying, or creating new controls; including PLCs is required, experience with Allen Bradley is strongly preferred;
  • Experience with VFD drives, servo drives, IO racks is preferred;
  • Ability to create and read electrical schematics is preferred;
  • Ability to specify and size electrical components is preferred;
  • Experience with cost estimates is preferred.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting, modifying or creating new control systems, including PLC and other programming.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of engineering projects to improve the manufacturing operations and processes;
  • Responsible for advising Engineering Manager as to plant equipment needs and pending problem areas involving plant equipment;
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned.
