Job description

About the Role

We are hiring a Manager of Engineering to lead one or more teams within Platform Engineering reporting to the Head of Platform Engineering. This leader is accountable for the day-to-day delivery, reliability, and operational quality of the systems their team(s) own within our enterprise platform, which serves regulated large enterprises. This role keeps engineering execution aligned to platform architecture, security requirements, and customer commitments, balancing velocity with the production guarantees regulated buyers require.

This role owns predictable, on-time delivery for their team(s) against roadmap and customer timelines, grows senior engineers into technical leadership, and drives operational rigor around SLOs, incidents, and quality without slowing the team down. You'll find and clear bottlenecks, contribute to capacity planning, manage your team's performance and growth, and support customer-facing operational reviews alongside the engineering leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead one or more engineering teams within Platform Engineering, hiring and developing engineers at all levels
  • Set clear expectations, career paths, and leveling guidance for your team members in partnership with broader engineering leadership
  • Own delivery outcomes for your team's portion of the platform roadmap, including predictability, quality, and velocity across quarterly commitments
  • Run and continuously improve development and release processes for your team(s)
  • Surface ownership, cross-team dependencies, and delivery risk clearly to engineering leadership
  • Partner with Architecture to ensure your team's implementation aligns with the platform reference architecture
  • Set and uphold standards for code quality, testing, observability, and operational readiness within your team's scope
  • Treat security red lines and tenant isolation as non-negotiable delivery constraints, partnering with Architecture and Security as needed
  • Lead incident response for your team's systems from an execution and learning perspective, driving durable fixes
  • Work with Product and Architecture to convert customer and roadmap signal into prioritized, deliverable engineering work
  • Support customer escalations and operational reviews involving your team's systems
  • Communicate tradeoffs and risks clearly to engineering leadership

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in an engineering management role
  • Proven track record leading and growing high-performing engineering teams
  • Solid fluency in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Kubernetes, and modern GitOps/CI-CD practices
  • Experience shipping platform or infrastructure software into regulated or enterprise environments with security and compliance requirements
  • Ability to balance hands-on technical judgment with day-to-day people management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in AI/ML platforms, agentic systems, or developer platforms
  • Experience supporting customer-deployed or hybrid deployment models
  • Exposure to a pre-IPO scaling environment

Why Join Us?

  • A high-performance culture
  • State-of-the-art technology
  • Experience world-class leadership
  • Scale of impact and purpose
  • A competitive salary and a huge growth trajectory
  • Work with the best in the industry
  • Flexible work environment
  • Diversity and creativity
