We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Mechanical Engineering intern to join our team at Farmington, CT lead design center. This internship offers you an opportunity to gain practical experience and develop your skills in a collaborative learning environment, under the mentorship of our senior mechanical engineers. During your internship you will be an integral part of a team that solves real problems.
On a typical day you will:
  • Create Creo 3D Modeling Software effectively to support engineering tasks while following established internal procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and system designs
  • Collaborate with engineers on planning and execution
  • Prepare technical presentations related to your project or participate in design reviews
  • Collaborate with other Otis interns.

Education:
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
What You Will Need to be Successful:
  • Passion for Mechanical Engineering, mechanical design or system integration and testing
  • Experience with 3D CAD software with an understanding of and adherence to company-specific engineering processes and standards.
  • Be able to apply mechanical engineering theories and analytical methods to perform modeling, simulation, and analyses of mechanical components and systems.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail skills
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

The hourly range for this role is $25/hr to $29/hr. We may pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future. Pay within the salary range will be based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
